Prostate cancer is especially prevalent among men age 45 or over, some of whom will experience no symptoms during early stages. Our test will help you quickly screen for this potentially aggressive disease.
This test measures a key biomarker linked to prostate cancer. A PSA marker, or Prostate-Specific Antigen, is the biomarker we screen for in this test. PSA is a measurable indicator of the amount of protein created by cancerous and non-cancerous tissue in the prostate. We measure Total PSA, which acts as the first level of screening for prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer symptoms vary by person, and it’s possible to experience no symptoms whatsoever during early stages. However, these common symptoms are strong indicators that you should get tested:
- Erectile dysfunction
- Decreased force in stream of urine
- Blood in semen
- Trouble urinating
