The BODY DETOX lab
Club Recharge has four different types of saunas which all have different levels of intensity and power. Infrared sauna waves can be broken into three different forms, which are near infrared, mid-infrared and far infrared. All three wavelengths react with the body in a slightly different way and all three produce separate levels of heat.

INFRARED SAUNA DETOX THERAPY

Safety and tolerability of sauna detoxification for the protracted withdrawal symptoms of substance abuse

First Published September 13, 2018 Research Article Find in PubMed
https://doi.org/10.1177/0300060518779314
Abstract Objective
Protracted drug withdrawal symptoms can last months or years after drug cessation, often precipitating a return to substance misuse. We evaluated the safety and preliminary health benefits of a unique chemical exposure regimen based on exercise, sauna and therapeutic nutrients.
Methods
This was a prospective evaluation of 109 individuals sequentially enrolled into a sauna detoxification component of a multi-modal, long-term residential substance abuse treatment centre.
Results
Data from medical charts, client self-reports and Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) responses indicated that the Hubbard sauna detoxification method was well tolerated, with a 99% completion rate, including one human immunodeficiency virus and nine hepatitis C positive clients. There were no cases of dehydration, overhydration or heat illness. Statistically significant improvements were seen in both mental and physical SF-36 scores at regimen completion, as well as in Addiction Severity Index and Global Appraisal of Individual Needs Short Screener change scores at rehabilitation program discharge, compared with enrollment.

CASE REPORT
Chemical Sensitivity After Intoxication at Work with Solvents: Response to Sauna Therapy
J. Krop Published Online:20 Feb 2008https://doi.org/10.1089/acm.1998.4.1-77
Abstract
The purpose of this case study is twofold. One, to illustrate a simple method of detoxification using heat chamber depuration (sauna). Second, to raise awareness in the practice of medicine of the importance of taking an environmentally oriented history. Subject: A patient with a chronic, debilitating multi system disorder of 20-years' duration related to a chemical sensitivity resulting from low-level exposure to toxic chemicals (solvents) at work.
Detoxification treatment consisted of heat chamber depuration (sauna) together with a specific protocol of oral and intravenous therapy. Appropriate advice was offered related to choosing a safe and suitable workplace.
Observation of the dynamic interaction and elimination of chlorinated and aromatic hydrocarbons (solvents) from the patient's bloodstream and related clinical improvement during the course of treatment.
The patient was able to discontinue, without ill effect, all medications previously prescribed to treat her symptoms. Heat chamber depuration (sauna) detoxification treatment brought substantial release of symptoms and returned the individual to gainful employment.
Conclusion: The connection between symptoms of chronic degenerative diseases and environmental and/or nutritional factors is missed in many cases due to lack of obtaining an environmentally oriented medical history. Taking such a history and dealing with the cause of illness using avoidance and/or appropriate therapy is preventive and cost-effective for both the patient and society.
Methamphetamine exposure and chronic illness in police officers: significant improvement with sauna-based detoxification therapy
Gerald H Ross, Marie C Sternquist
First Published November 16, 2011 Research Article Find in PubMed
https://doi.org/10.1177/0748233711425070
Abstract
Background: The medical literature reports health hazards for law enforcement personnel from repeated exposure to methamphetamine and related chemical compounds. Most effects appear transitory, but some Utah police officers with employment-related methamphetamine exposures developed chronic symptoms, some leading to disability. This report is of an uncontrolled retrospective medical chart evaluation of symptomatic officers treated with a sauna detoxification protocol designed to reduce the chronic symptoms and improve the quality of life.
Methods: Sixty-nine officers consecutively entering the Utah Meth Cops Project were assessed before and after a treatment program involving gradual exercise, comprehensive nutritional support and physical sauna therapy. Evaluations included pre- and post-treatment scores of the Research and Development Corporation (RAND) 36-item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) in comparison with RAND population norms, pre- and post-treatment symptom score intensities, neurotoxicity scores, Mini-Mental Status Examination, presenting symptom frequencies and a structured evaluation of treatment program safety.
Results: Statistically significant health improvements were seen in the SF-36 evaluations, symptom scores and neurotoxicity scores. The detoxification protocol was well tolerated, with a 92.8% completion rate.
Conclusions: This investigation strongly suggests that utilizing sauna and nutritional therapy may alleviate chronic symptoms appearing after chemical exposures associated with methamphetamine-related law enforcement activities. This report also has relevance to addressing the apparent ill effects of other complex chemical exposures. In view of the positive clinical outcomes in this group, broader investigation of this sauna-based treatment regimen appears warranted.
COCOON NEAR INFRARED SAUNA

What is a cocoon wellness pod?
The Calorie Burning Body Pod- Cocoon Wellness Pro is a 30 minute full body wellness service that combines Infrared Heat, Vibratory Massage, Heated Stones and a Pink Himalayan Salt Tile to create an environment for optimal health and wellness.
Does the cocoon fitness pod work?
The Cocoon Fitness Pod provides effective results when customers are encouraged to use the system 2-3 times per week for the first 4 weeks; followed by 1-2 maintenance sessions per week thereafter. Typical session times range from 15-30 minutes
Infrared energy and heat can penetrate the skin 1.5 inches and can accelerate the fat burning process. Fat breaks down and becomes water soluble at approximately 100.5 degrees Fahrenheit. At that temperature fat breaks into particles. When fats are broken down into particles they are more easily flushed by exercise postures forcing them out of the body through bodily functions including infrared induced sweating and through the liver, kidneys, bowels and through the lungs.
Infrared exposure causes your metabolism to speed up as the waves of energy interact with the cells in your body. This is important considering that impaired metabolism is associated with obesity. Low level inflammation is also a contributor to obesity. Infrared can also reduce inflammation.
Compare this fat burn effect to the melting of candle wax. In the candle making process wax must be heated to its melting point which is in the 115-120º F range for most types of wax. Fat breaks down as well when your body is heated.
Additionally, through exercise, your body will burn fat for energy. It has been known for a long time that muscles gain energy from burning fat and from burning sugar that is supplied from blood.
FIT BODY WRAP INFRARED SAUNA

Does infrared fit BODY wrap work?
Clinical research has established that an infrared treatment such as a FIT Bodywrap session can increase blood flow from 5-7 quarts/minute to as much as 13 quarts/minute. Therefore during a session there can be a substantial amount of nutrient and oxygen rich blood flowing which can help heal the body and relieve pain.
How often can you do a fit body wrap?
For most, a FIT Bodywrap session every other day is sufficient. Why every other and not every day? Giving yourself some time in between sessions to notice all the great benefits is a good way to take notice of how infrared is working in your body.
