fat melting therapy

Lipo Laser Fat Melting

Fat melting OVERVIEW

Body contouring can help eliminate fat and shape areas of the body when diet and exercise aren't working. Being at your ideal weight improves quality of the results with lower complications. Lipolysis is a nonsurgical procedure.   With body contouring procedures, many of these fat cells in your body are simply removed or destroyed. Once they are gone, they can never regenerate or be replaced. The fat cells that remain in your body can still get larger and smaller, depending on your weight.

THERAPY OVERVIEW

The surgical approach for fat contouring is always more preferable for plastic surgeons. But there are numerous potential patients that prefer non/minimal invasive procedures for a variety of reasons. The basic advantages of non/minimal invasive procedures are as follows: recovery is shorter, downtime is less, pain is limited and more predictable and swelling is limited.  People often feel more comfortable in choosing a less invasive procedure and may feel more motivated for these procedures. There are numerous devices developed for minimally invasive body fat contouring. Some of them are FDA approved while others are partially FDA approved, CE approved or under the process of approval. These devices can be classified based on the technology they utilize as follows: temperature-based treatment, laser-based treatment, magnetic waves-based treatment, Focused ultrasound-based treatment, light-based treatment, and chemical-based treatment.

effectiveness

The risks, financial costs and lengthy downtime associated with surgical procedures for fat reduction have led to the development of a number of non-invasive techniques.  We identified 31 studies (27 prospective clinical studies and four retrospective chart reviews) with a total of 2937 patients that had been treated with LLLT (n = 1114), cryolipolysis (n = 706), HIFU (n = 843) or RF (n = 116) or other techniques (n = 158) for fat reduction or body contouring. A majority of these patients experienced significant and satisfying results without any serious adverse effects. The studies investigating these devices have all varied in treatment regimen, body locations, follow-up times or outcome operationalization. Each technique differs in offered advantages and severity of adverse effects. However, multiple non-invasive devices are safe and effective for circumferential reduction in local fat tissue by 2 cm or more across the abdomen, hips and thighs.
